Nasarawa Governor excited over Maikaya’s developmental strides

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, saluted Maikaya Development Foundation, MDF, commitment to nation-building and to dolling out resources for the betterment of society.

The Governor made this known during the third edition of the Maikaya Development Foundation football competition finals held in Toto, the local government headquarters where he was represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya.

Our correspondent report that the Football Competition feature a match between Kofa FC of Toto and Emani FC of Shafa Abakpa by 2 against 0. Engineer Abdullahi Sule said he was impressed with the performance of the Maikaya Development Foundation, saying such a massive achievements has place him above his peers.

He said the helmsman of the foundation, Alhaji Muhammed Musa Maikaya is a friend and hence his administration’s support to enable him succeed in his selfless quest to better the lot of his people.

“I am very much aware that this great man is known for his philanthropic activities, he has touch thousand of lives, you can see the demonstration from people who came from all walk of life to grace the finals football tournament.”

The elated governor assured that his administration will always give full support to any spirited individual or organization with a vision of adding value to the State’s economy status more especially in the area of youth development and empowerment.

“What has happened today in Toto, is key to the policies and programs of my administration. “As a sports lover, I have always put in the available resources towards youths development, especially in sports, that is why we are working hard to upgrade our sporting facilities in the State. So I must commend the Maikaya Development Foundation, headed by one of our own, Alhaji Musa Maikaya, who has divulged his resources to not only host the tournament but encourages youth productivity,” Gov Sule said.

The occasion brought people from all walks of life including legal luminaries, sport enthusiasm, community leaders, youths and women within and outside the State.
