By: Mallam Hassan Lamino - Lafia In a powerful display of humanity and leadership, members and volunteers of the Maikaya Development Foundation (MDF) in Lafia Local Government Area marked their leader’s birthday not with fanfare — but with compassion in action.
To honour their Chief Executive Officer, Muhammed Musa Maikaya (Ciroman Toto), MDF volunteers carried out a humanitarian outreach, distributing Ramadan food packages to less-privileged individuals at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia and Romantic Junction.
The initiative reflects MDF’s long-standing tradition of celebrating every 2nd of March by extending love and support to vulnerable members of society. Rather than centering the day on ceremony, the foundation chose to center it on service — reaching hospital patients, families, and struggling community members with timely relief during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Beneficiaries, visibly moved by the gesture, offered heartfelt prayers for Dr. Maikaya, asking Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly for his unwavering compassion, visionary leadership, and continued dedication to uplifting humanity.
This was more than a birthday celebration. It was a reminder that true leadership is measured not by titles, but by impact.
Through kindness shared and hope restored, MDF once again proved that service to humanity remains its greatest tradition.
